Joey Bart Leaves Monday's Game Early
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants backstop Joey Bart exited Monday's contest against the St. Louis Cardinals prematurely due to right groin tightness. According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, he's been dealing with this injury for some time now, but the 26-year-old hopes he doesn't need more than a couple of days off. Over 12 games, Bart's slashing .303/.378/.364 with no homers, four runs, and no RBI. In his place, Blake Sabol, who was the replacement Monday, will likely be behind the plate. The 25-year-old rookie is batting .200 with three homers, five runs, six RBI, and one stolen base across 16 games and is a good option for fantasy managers in need of a bat at catcher.
