5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was in beast mode on Monday, finishing a 129-112 win over Atlanta with a career-high 49 points on 17-for-24 shooting. He went 14-for-15 from the charity stripe while adding 14 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. The Sixers played without Ben Simmons (back) who was ruled out indefinitely prior to the contest, so Embiid saw a lot of the ball and he used it smartly. With Simmons not expected to return any time soon, Embiid is set for a dominant stretch. He has a good matchup next against the Cavs, who are allowing centers to shoot 56.3 percent against them this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
