Joe Panik Leaves Game With Groin Injury
Joe Panik left Friday's game with a left groin strain. According to John Shea, "[Bruce] Bochy said Panik is going to the DL." Alen Hanson took his place at second after the injury. Panik missed all of May after having surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. Hansen is a likely candidate to take the starts at second, or the Giants could recall Kelby Tomlinson from Triple-A Sacramento.
