Joe Palumbo To Start For Rangers Wednesday
5 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Joe Palumbo will get the ball to start the game Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. This will be his second career major league start for the young left-hander. Palumbo has appeared in one game for the Rangers this year, allowing four earned runs in four innings on June 8 against Oakland. In 10 starts at Double-A Frisco this year, Palumbo owned a 3.19 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 53 innings. Carrying a 10.5 K/9 in his minor league career, Palumbo has strikeout upside for fantasy owners, but beyond that does not have the profile of an impact starter in the big leagues.
