Joe Kelly Placed On Paternity List
2 years agoChicago White Sox pitcher Joe Kelly has been placed on the paternity list as part of a flurry of roster moves on the south side. It has been a tough start to the season for the right-hander but better times should be on the horizon. While Kelly owns a 7.71 ERA in just 4 2/3 innings of work, he also sports a 2.93 xERA, 3.82 FIP, 2.45 SIERA, and a hefty 28.6% K-BB%. He's missed a good chunk of the season so far with a groin injury and was recently brought off the 15-day injured list. In addition to moving Kelly to the paternity list, the White Sox also designated both Jake Diekman and Frank German for assignment. Kelly should be back with the club in short order but won't likely factor into the saves situation in Chicago upon his return.
