5 years agoThe Denver Broncos placed quarterback Joe Flacco (neck) on season-ending Injured Reserve on Friday, according to a source. Backup Brandon Allen will start in Week 9 against the Browns, with the team promoting Brett Rypien from the practice squad. The 34-year-old Flacco was a failed experiment for Denver, as he looked done in 2019. He was putrid in eight games, going 171-for-262 (65.3 percent) for 1,822 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. It's likely his only season in Denver. Allen might not prove to be much better, though, which hurts the fantasy upside of everyone involved in this offense, most notably wide receiver Courtland Sutton.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
