2 years agoThe Texas Rangers placed pitcher Joe Barlow (finger) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right index finger blister. He was recently removed from the closer's role as the team uses a committee to approach save situations. The 26-year-old owned a 3.26 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 23:8 K: BB across 30 1/3 innings before landing on the injured list. Barlow will be eligible to return towards the end of July. Brett Martin has recently received the bulk of the team's save chances, converting three saves over his last four appearances.
