Jo Adell Homers In Fifth Straight
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell has now homered in five straight games. The 24-year-old is off to a hot start at Triple-A, hitting .370 with five home runs, 11 RBI, and nine runs across eight games for the Salt Lake Bees. He didn't make the Angels' Opening Day roster but continues to tear it up the minor leagues making the case to be called up to the big leagues soon. The former top prospect struggled in the majors in 2022, slashing .223/.263/.372 slash line and 37.9 percent strikeout rate. Adell credited improved swing decisions for his hot start in Triple-A. The Angels have Mike Trout, Taylor Ward, and Hunter Renfroe locked in the team's starting outfield. Adell wouldn't have an everyday role if called up by the Angels but remains a stash in deep-league formats due to his power upside.
