2 years agoThe Miami Marlins promoted top prospect JJ Bleday to the MLB roster on Saturday. The 24-year-old outfielder is a former first-round draft pick and has been a top 100 prospect for three seasons since being drafted in 2019. Although he has fallen out of the MLB Pipeline top 100 mid-season rankings, he is still the Marlins' number four prospect. He's had a tough time hitting for average in the minors but seems to have found his power stroke this season, bashing 20 homers over 367 plate appearances. He will strike out quite a bit, but also walks at a good rate. He isn't in the starting lineup tonight, which likely indicates he won't play every day against lefties for now.
