Instead, Jingliang was moved down to the third fight from the top against a middleweight in Daniel Rodriguez. Though Jingliang only suffered a split-decision loss, he fought hard against Rodriguez and landed 78 significant strikes and his lone takedown try on the night. Though he has losses in two of his last three bouts now, they have come against Chimaev and this close encounter with Rodriguez.--Matt Bricker
