3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Jeurys Familia (hip) and catcher Tomas Nido (wrist) will start their rehab assignments with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday night. Familia is eligible to come off the injured list as soon as Thursday, and Nido is eligible to return on Friday. Familia suffered a right hip impingement at the beginning of last week, but he should be back later this week, barring a setback. The right-handed reliever has a 3.63 ERA and one save on the season, but his 6.0 BB/9 is concerning for anyone that might've been using him in deeper saves/holds leagues. Familia should return to a setup role for New York ahead of closer Edwin Diaz. Nido suffered a right wrist contusion when he was hit by a pitch last Monday. He'll return to a backup role behind James McCann, leaving him little to no fantasy appeal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
