Jets Won't Give Up Second-Rounder For Trent Williams
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins are very set on securing a second-round pick in a deal for left tackle Trent Williams, according to multiple sources. With that said, the Jets won't trade a second-round pick for Williams, so unless the 'Skins come down on their demands, a trade seems unlikely for Gang Green. Williams sat out the entire 2019 season and would also like $20 million per season on a new contract whenever he's traded, so there's a lot to settle on before he's sent packing. Washington will likely have to lower their trade demands if they really want to move the seven-time Pro Bowler. New York desperately needs upgrades on their offensive line, and Williams would be a huge improvement on quarterback Sam Darnold's blind side.
