Jets Interested In Trading Back?
5 years agoSources say that New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas is open to dropping a few spots in the first round of next week's draft. Douglas comes from two trade-happy teams (Ravens and Eagles) and could bring the same philosophy to the Jets in his first draft as GM. If New York were to trade back from pick No. 11 in the first round, they'd still likely snag an offensive lineman or wide receiver along with gaining more picks. The Jets are expected to try and select one of the top four offensive lineman -- Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs, Jedrick Wills or Mekhi Becton -- but if they are all gone by No. 11, the Jets may be more compelled to take one of the top wide receivers in this deep draft class.
