Jesus Luzardo Solid In No-Decision
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo was very good for five innings against the New York Mets, but his outing came to a sour conclusion when he gave up a two-run home run to Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar. Luzardo completed the sixth inning, giving up just the two runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts. He was in position for a win at the time but was forced to settle for a no-decision when the bullpen gave up the lead and eventually the game. Luzardo has shown plenty of promise this season with a 3.53 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 108 strikeouts in 94 1/3 innings.
