Jesus Luzardo Lands On Injured List With Forearm Strain
3 years agoThe Miami Marlins placed starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (forearm) on the 15-day injured list on Sunday with a left forearm strain. He will be first eligible to return on May 27 as the move to the injured list is retroactive to May 12. However, it's unclear how long he's expected to be out at this point. The team has announced that Cody Poteet will start for the team in a bullpen game against the Washington Nationals on Monday, a game that Luzardo had been previously scheduled to start. Luzardo has had an up-and-down start to the year with a 4.03 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP and a 34.5% strikeout rate.
