Jesus Aguilar Scores A Run And Plays Third Base On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Jesus Aguilar got a hit and scored a run on Tuesday, ending up 1-for-4. He played third base in the bottom of the eighth inning and made an outstanding barehanded play on a ground ball to end the inning. With Miguel Rojas getting the day off, Luis Marte played shortstop. He was pinch hit for by Magneuris Sierra (who has 100 at bats this season and has yet to record an RBI!) and then Sierra was replaced by Garrett Cooper in the lineup. Cooper went in to play first base, with Jon Berti moving from third base to shortstop, and Aguilar moving from first base to third base. Third base has been an issue for the Marlins all season, with Brian Anderson (shoulder) struggling then getting injured, but Aguilar is unlikely to amass enough innings there to get fantasy eligibility at the position.
