Carolina Hurricanes right wing Jesper Fast is expected to miss the entire 2024-25 campaign after having neck surgery. Fast injured his neck in April in the team's 2023-24 regular-season finale. The speedy winger made 73 appearances with the Hurricanes last season, contributing six goals and 13 assists. He signed a two-year, $4.8 million contract with Carolina last offseason. Fast has had a solid career as a bottom-six forward, posting 248 points (91 goals, 157 assists) in 703 career games. His absence will give some of the Hurricanes' youngsters a chance to make the team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
