Jerick McKinnon Misses Thursday's Practice

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) did not practice with the team on Thursday due to a groin injury, according to head coach Andy Reid. The Chiefs are likely just resting McKinnon for their first practice of the week, but his status bears watching heading into Monday's Christmas Day matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old has had an expanded role the last two games with lead-back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) sidelined, catching all six of his targets for 37 yards and a touchdown while carrying the ball eight times for 30 yards and another score. However, McKinnon's short-term fantasy boost is expected to come to an end in Week 16 with the Chiefs expected to welcome Pacheco back to the backfield as their primary back.
