Jeremy Jeffress Earns 13th Save
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress closed out a tense game Wednesday versus St Louis. He came into the game with a runner on and two outs in the eighth inning up 2-1. There would be an error that had the tying run rounding third with a valid chance of being safe but the runner would fall down and end up out at the plate. He would then shut them down in the ninth inning to close out the win. The save would be his 13th this season. Jeffress did not spend the whole season as the closer but has been elite through the season with a 1.33 ERA.
