Jeremy Hellickson Impressive In Win Against Pirates On Tuesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson tossed five shutout innings on Tuesday, allowing just two hits while striking out three in a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The right-hander walked one. It was a promising outing for Hellickson, who was coming off a disastrous start in which he was blasted for eight runs in only four innings against the Miami Marlins. Hellickson has been useful this season, posting a 3.47 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 57 innings pitched. Unfortunately, he has only gone more than six innings in a start once in 2018, so his fantasy appeal does not stretch past deeper leagues.
