Jelani Woods Isn't A Viable Fantasy Option For Week 18
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Jelani Woods will likely get another opportunity to start when they face the Houston Texans in Week 18 after Kylen Granson was declared out for the third straight week due to an ankle injury. However, the former third-round pick from Virginia has been average, at best, during his last two games. He had three catches for 43 yards in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers and three catches for 19 yards in their Week 17 blowout loss to the New York Giants. He may get some relief, considering the Texans are 16th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends at 11.16 per game. But Woods may not get enough targets, given the efficiency of the Texans' pass rush, especially with Maliek Collins having the second-highest pass-rush win rate among defensive tackles at 17 percent. Therefore, there are better options than Woods at the TE position.
