Jeimer Candelario Racks Up Three Hits In Sunday's Win
3 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario helped lead the team to a 6-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI. He's now slashing .265/.347/.369 over 75 games on the year. Candelario started the year strong, but struggled in June. He posted a slash line of just .194/.293/.236 last month while tallying only three extra-base hits, all doubles. Candelario's hard-hit rate on the year (37.2%) is closer to his career mark (36%) than his career-best clip from last year (47.2%). His xBA is also down from .276 last year to .249 this year. He's a fringe player in AL-only leagues and leagues of 14 teams or deeper at this point.
