Jeff Wilson Jr. Week 2 Outlook For Fantasy Football
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. heads off to Denver for a Sunday Night Football showdown with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos run defense has been tougher on fantasy RBs than the Seahawks defense. Wilson ran for 84 yards last week against Seattle. The Broncos have allowed the fewest fantasy points to RBs of all teams through two weeks. Part of that, however, is because the Broncos' opponents -- Seattle and Houston -- just didn't run the ball, or move the ball much against them. The 49ers have a much more effective offense and a more run-heavy offense. In his history as a 49ers starter, Wilson has been inconsistent in both volume and efficiency. If you're starting him, it's probably for the same reason the 49ers are starting him: because your original starting RB is injured.
