Jeff Wilson Jr. Gains 106 Scrimmage Yards
San Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. gained 75 yards on 12 carries in the Niners' 11-10 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 3. The 26-year-old was targeted three times and caught all three passes for 31 receiving yards. Unlike previous seasons, when the 49ers seriously split carries or alternated between many running backs, Wilson looks like the clear lead back during Elijah Mitchell's absence (MCL), which could continue for six or more weeks. Rookie RB Tyrion Davis-Price is also injured (ankle) and likely to miss Week 4. Fellow rookie RB Jordan Mason only took one carry in this Week 3 loss. Wilson continues to be a viable low end RB2 and flex play going into San Francisco's divisional showdown with the Rams next week.
