Jeff McNeil Ignites Mets Offense In Win
Batting leadoff right ahead of rookie phenom Peter Alonso, New York Mets utility player Jeff McNeil recorded three hits as one of the club's leaders in a blowout victory Tuesday night. Starting in left field, the 27-year-old reached base in the third, later coming around to score the game's first run. He would score another run before eventually drilling a solo blast in the ninth for his club's 10th run on the night. McNeil continues to be a reliable hitter for the struggling Mets, now batting .333 with four home runs and 21 RBI.
