6 years agoNew York Mets infielder/outfielder Jeff McNeil (abdominal) said the abdominal tightness that forced him from the game on Thursday is a scar-tissue issue that he's dealt with before related to a sports hernia surgery. McNeil said he should be fine in a day or so. Don't be surprised if McNeil isn't in there on Friday, but he should be able to avoid the injured list. The 27-year-old is hitting a robust .352/.440/.483 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 145 at-bats. He doesn't have much power, but the Mets will keep playing him if he continues to hit, which could get trickier whenever Jed Lowrie (knee) makes his season debut.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
