Jedd Gyorko Expected to Start At Shortstop
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder Jedd Gyorko is going to see the bulk of the starts at shortstop while Paul DeJong (hand) is out, according to manager Mike Matheny. President of baseball operations John Mozeliak mentioned Yairo Munoz when asked who would play shortstop the most. However, Matheny is the one that fills out the lineup card, so it depends on who he prefers to use. Fantasy owners should look into adding Gyorko, since it seems he's going to be seeing more playing time now. Munoz is probably only worth considering in NL-only leagues in the short term.
