Jazz Chisholm Jr. Homers Twice Monday
4 months agoNew York Yankees third baseman/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. had a strong offensive showing with his new team in Monday's 14-4 win over the Phillies. Making his first career start at third base and batting sixth, Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a two-run HR, a walk, and a strikeout. He was also picked off first base. The 26-year-old took Zack Wheeler deep in the second inning and put an exclamation point on the game by taking Garrett Stubbs deep in the ninth inning. The change of venue should help Chisholm Jr. find his power swing, as he has produced just a .420 slugging percentage with 15 HR this season. However, he managed to provide 49 runs and 53 RBI in a much weaker Marlins lineup with 23 stolen bases. Chisholm Jr.'s fantasy value should rise with his move to the Yankees, especially if he can gain third-base eligibility.
