Jazz Chisholm Hits A Homer On Sunday
4 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jazz Chisholm hit a long homer in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Houston Astros. Chisholm didn't start, but he replaced Isan Diaz and ended up going 2-for-2 with the home run and a single. He drove in two runs and scored one. He got off to a slow start this spring, but he's up to a .250 batting average and an .871 OPS. His main competition for the starting second base job is Diaz, who is hitting .083 with a .499 OPS. If this was ever really a competition, it looks like Jazz will be the starting second baseman for the Marlins on Opening Day. There's still a lot of swing-and-miss in his at bats, but he's getting better at making contact and certainly makes it count every time he does. He's a high upside/low floor fantasy option.
