Jayson Tatum Pulls Down Career-High 16 Rebounds
3 years agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum recorded a very nice double-double in Wednesday's 88-87 victory over Philadelphia, leading all scorers with 26 points and grabbing a career-high 16 rebounds. He missed five of his first six shots but managed to recover and went 9-for-20 from the field in the end with a 3-for-8 effort from deep. Tatum's night also included two assists with two turnovers and one steal. Tatum is averaging a career-high 8.9 rebounds this season, but this was a huge effort from him on the glass. It was a very good bounce-back effort scoring-wise as well after he finished Sunday's 109-97 win over Toronto with only eight points. The Celtics now start a tough five-game road trip, which includes visits to Salt Lake City, Portland, L.A. and Phoenix. Tatum has struggled away from home this season, so he might go quiet for a while now.
