Jaylen Wright Not A Startable Option For Week 15
3 months agoMiami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright has been mostly a non-factor in his rookie campaign. De'Von Achane has commanded the backfield, but there isn't any indication that head coach Mike McDaniel will split the touches moving forward. At this point in the season, he should be on the waiver wire in most redraft leagues. With Achane fully healthy, Wright will not be a starting option for the rest of the fantasy season.

Jaylen Wright Totals 13 Scrimmage Yards In Week 14 OT Win
4 months agoMiami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright carried the ball two times for seven yards and added two receptions on three targets for six yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime victory over the New York Jets. With Raheem Mostert (hip) ruled out, Wright was the backup behind starter De'Von Achane. However, his role is still inconsistent, as Miami's backup touches fluctuate weekly. The rookie will likely continue to struggle to see playing time for the rest of the year as long as Achane commands the backfield. Unless you have Achane on your roster, Wright should be on most league's waiver wire at this point of the season. His next opportunity will be a road matchup with the Houston Texans, who have been good against the run in 2024.

Jaylen Wright Still Not Startable In Week 14
4 months agoMiami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright is coming off a game where he failed to record a single touch. De'Von Achane has a clear workhorse role in this backfield, but the backup running back splits are inconsistent. Although Raheem Mostert (hip) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the New York Jets, he has three consecutive limited practices and a good chance to play. The uncertainty of how the snaps at backup running back are distributed will be a headache for fantasy managers for the foreseeable future. Until Wright proves he has a stable role in this offense, he should be on the waiver wire in most formats.

Jaylen Wright Gets Seven Carries Against Patriots
4 months agoMiami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright saw a bit more work during the team's 34-15 win over the New England Patriots. The rookie back received seven carries and turned them into 28 yards. He also had one target but wasn't able to haul it in. One silver lining is that Wright finished ahead of Raheem Mostert in terms of touches, but his upside is still very limited when all three backs are healthy. He'll look to find some more success in a short week as they play the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.

Jaylen Wright Strictly A Handcuff Vs. Raiders
4 months agoMiami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright is little more than a dart-throw option in Week 11 when his team lines up against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie back has seen his snap share dwindle over the last few weeks with the return of teammate Raheem Mostert, topping out at six carries since his return in Week 7. Week 10 was a low point for the 21-year-old, as he averaged just 0.6 yards on his five rush attempts (three yards). Wright has all the talent in the world but is buried on Miami's depth chart behind the veteran and second-year RB De'Von Achane -- who has dominated the Dolphins' snaps and touches out of the backfield. Until the former fourth-round pick's role is elevated, fantasy managers can continue to relegate him to their bench. He's RotoBaller's PPR RB42 for this weekend's slate of games.
