Jaylen Waddle Too Inconsistent To Start In Week 14 Against The Jets
1 month agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been non-existent for most of the 2024 season. While viewed as a WR2 for fantasy football throughout the preseason, he has been anything but that, with predominantly disappointing performances. For context, he's averaging a career-low in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Week 14 presents a matchup against the New York Jets, who have been chiefly stout against wide receivers. They have only allowed two 100-yard receivers, the third-fewest yards to receivers, and the second-fewest touchdowns to receivers on the season. However, the Jets will be without star defensive back Sauce Gardner (hamstring), who is doubtful for Sunday's game. Miami also has the potential to put up points early and make this game a blowout, leading to a negative game script for Waddle. With all of the inconsistencies and red flags in this matchup, bench the 26-year-old if possible. He is Rotoballers WR36 in the Week 14 rankings.
