Jaylen Brown is Ruled Out on Friday
5 years agoBoston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the New York Knicks. Brown will miss his second straight game due to illness, but hopefully he's healthy and able to play next game. Marcus Smart is expected to start, while Semi Ojeleye will see more minutes as well. Smart could be an interesting DFS option, but he lacks consistent ability on offense.

Jaylen Brown Questionable Versus Miami
16 hours agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Heat. He has been dealing with a right knee injury of late, most recently keeping him off the floor for Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Xavier Tillman Sr. got the start. However, he had only two points, three rebounds, and one steal in seven minutes of work. With that said, not only is Brown questionable for Wednesday's contest, but Al Horford (toe), Kristaps Porzingis (return from illness reconditioning), and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are also in danger of not playing. As a result, Tillman, Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard could see a bump in production behind Jayson Tatum and Derrick White.

Jaylen Brown Skips Monday's Game
2 days agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is having trouble with his right knee and was initially listed as questionable on the injury report. Sam Hauser has frequently stepped in for Brown in the starting unit and is likely to do so again, while Payton Pritchard may have an opportunity to play a larger role off the bench. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and Derrick White should see an increase in their offensive usage.

Jaylen Brown Ruled Out Against Utah
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) won't suit up for Friday's clash with the Utah Jazz. The 28-year-old has been on-and-off the injury report of late because of a knee injury. He was last on the court for Saturday's win over the Nets. However, Brown wasn't available when both clubs met again on Tuesday night. Al Horford moved into the starting lineup. Yet, it was Baylor Scheierman who stole the show, with the rookie finishing with 20 points while shooting 6-for-7 from behind the arc. Scheierman should remain in the rotation, although fantasy managers shouldn't expect a duplicate showing. Instead, Payton Pritchard should benefit the most in the scoring department behind Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, and Kristaps Porzingis.

Jaylen Brown Unavailable Tuesday
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) will not suit up for Tuesday's action against the Brooklyn Nets. Brown made an early exit against the Nets on Saturday due to back spasms but is again on the injury report with a right knee posterior impingement. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP has regularly played through the injury in recent weeks, but he will take the night off on Tuesday. Sam Hauser is likely to grab Brown's spot in the starting lineup, while Payton Pritchard will have an opportunity to contribute more off the bench. Over his previous 14 starts this season, Hauser has averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds.
