Javian Hawkins Struggles Friday
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Javian Hawkins carried the ball five times for just two rushing yards while hauling in one reception for two yards in Friday's loss to the Titans. Hawkins was one of the underachievers for the Falcons in a bad day at the office, as he couldn't find much room to run behind the offensive line. The 21-year-old compiled 1,525 rushing yards during the 2018 season at Louisville, averaging an impressive 5.9 yards per carry for his three-year college career. Hawkins is competing for a backup running back spot, currently listed as the fourth back on the depth chart. He's a potential sleeper if he can flash in the preseason, though he'll need to put together a better showing during his next turn in game action.
