Jason Myers Nearly Costs Seattle A Win
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers nailed his first 2019 field goal from more than 50 yards last week, but then he completed blew it against Tampa Bay on Sunday, nearly costing the Seahawks the win. Myers missed a 47-yard try in the second quarter by pulling it left, and then he bonked an extra point off the right goalpost just before halftime. This left Seattle in a hole that required a two-point conversion, but the Seahawks were able to convert and gave Myers another shot at redemption. Faced with a 40-yarder in the closing seconds of the game, a make would secure the win. Instead, Myers pushed it right and forced Seattle into overtime. The team was able to score a touchdown in OT to win anyway, but certainly not because of any help from Myers.
