Jason Kipnis Out 7-10 Days With Calf Strain
6 years agoCleveland Indians second baseman/outfielder Jason Kipnis won't do any baseball activities for seven to 10 days after an MRI exam showed a low-grade right calf strain. He has battled tightness in his right calf for the last week and was taken out of Wednesday's spring game after the pain continued. Eric Stamets had some tightness in his left hip this week, but he'll likely start the year at shortstop with Francisco Lindor (calf) also hurt. Max Moroff is the top option at the keystone with Kipnis hobbled. Kipnis probably won't be drafted in most mixed leagues this year.
