Jarrett Allen Won't Undergo Surgery
3 years agoCleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) has opted to not have surgery on his broken left middle finger. As a result, the All-Star has a chance to return before the end of the regular season. League sources of Yahoo! Sports went as far as to claim there is "optimism" that Allen returns before the postseason. Allen suffered the injury on March 6 and he's been out ever since. He's currently in the midst of a career-best season, averaging 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. Rookie big man Evan Mobley will continue to shoulder a heavier workload while Allen is out. Mobley racked up a career-high 30 points in the team's most recent game on Monday.
