7 years agoNew York Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak will guard the crease Monday, according to the Isles official Twitter account. Halak has lost his last five outings, allowing a combined 18 goals against, contributing to what has been an awful year for the netminder. He usually stands a chance at getting the win with the high-scoring Islanders offense in front of him, but they've managed just two wins in their last 10 games and sit five points out of the playoffs. If Halak and the Islanders stand any chance of making it into the postseason, they will have to start by winning Monday against the lowly Canucks.--Barry Miles
