Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon had a two-goal performance in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Anaheim. Nico Sturm notched the eventual game-winner for Minnesota. Spurgeon entered the contest with just one goal for the season and his shooting percentage was at a laughable 1.9 percent, so he had fully earned some puck luck. His first marker was a power-play goal. Ryan Suter notched assists on both of the goals. Spurgeon has been averaging a solid 0.5-plus points over the last few seasons, and he should be able to improve his current rate of 0.24 points per game.
