Jameson Taillon Shaky In Third Victory
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon picked up his third win in Tuesday's win over the Los Angeles Angels. Taillon pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing five earned runs on nine hits with one walk allowed. He fanned four batters and induced 10 whiffs, seven of them on his heater. Taillon had trouble keeping the ball in the park, as he surrendered homers in the second, third, and fifth innings, two of them to Angels' star Shohei Ohtani. Fortunately, the Yankee offense picked him up on a day where he didn't have his best stuff. Taillon will carry a 5.43 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 73:21 strikeout-to-walk ratio into his next start against the New York Mets on July 4. Fantasy managers should start him for that matchup, as the Mets rank just 26th in OPS.
