Jameson Taillon Picks Up Fifth Win Sunday
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon notched his fourth win in his last six starts in Sunday's victory over the Boston Red Sox. Taillon pitched 5 1/3 shutout innings, surrendering four hits and two walks. The 29-year-old righty struck out just three batters but induced 12 whiffs, seven of them coming on his off-speed pitches. Taillon's fastball has been his only consistent weapon this season, though he has flashed strikeout ability with his curveball, slider, and changeup at times this season. He is 4-0 with a 2.86 ERA and 31:9 strikeout-to-walk ratio over his last six starts and can be trusted by fantasy managers once again. Taillon will take on the Red Sox again in his next start.
