Jameson Taillon Notches Quality Start In No-Decision
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon notched his fourth quality start of the season in Sunday's loss to the Houston Astros. Taillon pitched six innings, surrendering a pair of runs on three hits while walking two batters. The righty struck out four and induced nine swinging strikes on 85 pitches. Taillon managed to keep one of baseball's best lineups off balance, as Astros' hitters mustered just an 84.9 MPH average exit velocity against him. He has some momentum heading into the All-Star break, having recorded quality starts in three of his last four outings with a 24:7 strikeout-to-walk ratio in that span. Taillon looks like a serviceable fantasy starter for the second half of the season.
