Jameson Taillon Fans Five In Losing Effort
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon took his fourth loss of the season on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Taillon went five innings, surrendering three runs on five hits along with five strikeouts compared to three walks. The veteran righty induced nine whiffs but was hit rather hard by the Rays' offense, as evidenced by the 94.7 MPH average exit velocity against. Taillon hasn't won a start since May 1, and many fantasy managers are likely fed up with his lack of results. He's worth holding onto for those that can, as his 3.64 expected ERA and 3.96 xFIP point to better days ahead.
