James Wood Scratched From Saturday's Lineup
10 months agoWashington Nationals top prospect James Wood (wrist) was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals after his bat handle hit his right wrist on a check-swing Friday. According to Nationals manager Davey Martinez, Woods is fine, and the team wanted to give him a day off. "He feels totally fine," said Martinez. The 21-year-old was removed from the lineup for precautionary reasons and took batting practice on Saturday. Woods has been lights out this spring, slashing .324/.457/.649 with three home runs, five RBI, and 12 runs scored over 17 games this spring. Woods has an NFBC ADP of 446 but is worth a late-round flier in most redraft leagues due to his massive upside.
