James Wood Scratched From Saturday's Lineup
8 months agoWashington Nationals top prospect James Wood (wrist) was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals after his bat handle hit his right wrist on a check-swing Friday. According to Nationals manager Davey Martinez, Woods is fine, and the team wanted to give him a day off. "He feels totally fine," said Martinez. The 21-year-old was removed from the lineup for precautionary reasons and took batting practice on Saturday. Woods has been lights out this spring, slashing .324/.457/.649 with three home runs, five RBI, and 12 runs scored over 17 games this spring. Woods has an NFBC ADP of 446 but is worth a late-round flier in most redraft leagues due to his massive upside.
