James Triantos Posts Dominant July
4 months agoChicago Cubs second base prospect James Triantos enjoyed a big July at Double-A. Through 19 games, the former second-round pick held an excellent .299/.371/.377 line with a 7:9 BB:K ratio, six stolen bases, and 23 total hits. In his past 11 games, he has only gone hitless once and is riding a .364 AVG and .440 OBP. This is a great sign for the 21-year-old as this was yet another dominant month for him. Through 86 games this season, he sits with a .304/.349/.442 line. Triantos is considered the fourth-best prospect in the Chicago system on MLB.com and the 51st-best overall prospect. Triantos should start next summer at Triple-A Iowa and could push for a major league debut.
