3 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann (wrist) was diagnosed with a fracture of the hamate bone in his left wrist on Friday. He will undergo surgery for the fracture and is expected to miss about six weeks. The team placed him on the 10-day injured list on Friday and recalled catcher Patrick Mazeika from Triple-A. Tomas Nido should serve as the team's primary catcher while McCann is out with Mazeika working in a backup role.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
