James Karinchak Takes Loss Sunday
3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher James Karinchak had a day he would like to forget Sunday as he allowed three runs (two earned) on one hit and two walks without recording an out in the top of the tenth inning of Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins. Karinchak allowed a leadoff walk to Josh Donaldson to begin the tenth and followed that up by allowing a Kyle Garlick home run. Karinchak will still be relied upon heavily by the Tribe in save and high leverage situations all season and this is just a blip on the radar. He will carry a 1.31 ERA and 38 strikeouts across 20 2/3 innings pitched into his next appearance.
