James Kaprielian Gives Up Five Runs In Rehab Outing
3 years agoOakland Athletics right-handed pitcher James Kaprielian (shoulder) was roughed up in his rehab outing at Triple-A on Wednesday. He pitched four innings and allowed three hits, four walks and five earned runs while recording two strikeouts. He also hit a batter in the game. Kaprielian was sidelined with right shoulder inflammation this spring and he is in the midst of working his way back. This was his third rehab outing and his second consecutive one at Triple-A. His previous Triple-A start was also a rough one as he allowed nine hits and four earned runs over 4 2/3 innings. We may still see him make one more rehab outing before joining the A's and it's unclear whether he will have a spot in the rotation or if he will be pitching out of the bullpen for the club this year.
