James Cook Gets Nine Carries In Win
2 years agoBuffalo Bills running back James Cook has seen an increased role in this offense during the second half of the season. On Sunday, the rookie back out-touched fellow back Devin Singletary for the second straight week. Cook rushed nine times for 45 yards in the Week 18 victory over the New England Patriots. Possibly, Singletary losing a fumble resulted in Cook having an expanded role in this game. Regardless, it appears the Bills want the rookie back more involved than they did earlier in the season. He'll finish his rookie campaign with a little over 500 yards on the ground. That's not a bad thing considering he split up the workload with Singletary throughout the year. Now, Buffalo heads into a tough matchup against the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the playoffs. Cook had 39 yards and a touchdown versus Miami in Week 15, so maybe he can find the end zone again during their next meeting.
