James Conner Sees 16 Carries, Can't Take Advantage
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner had 16 carries for 53 yards in the win against the Tennessee Titans. Conner saw more carries than Chase Edmonds, but he saw no targets in the passing game, which was expected. Although Conner saw 16 carries, he couldn't make much out of it. He saw multiple red-zone touches, but he could not convert those carries into touchdowns. Conner will face the Minnesota Vikings next, who gave up 150 total yards and a touchdown on 33 touches to Joe Mixon in Week 1. Moving forward, Conner should be considered a fringe flex play until he sees a higher volume of carries in the red zone.
